Halloween Inspired Makeup

We have been getting into the upcoming holidays here at Le Reve. Halloween is quickly approaching, do you know what you're going to be?  Below is a great cheetah look that our Esthetician/Massage Therapist/Makeup Artist Sterling created using our Mineral Makeup Line La Bella Donna. We hope you enjoy and have a safe and fun Halloween!

Makeup is a fun and free way to express yourself, you can learn so many fun new techniques. Have fun with it and just enjoy yourself. The makeup line that we carry here at the spa is made purely of minerals, it leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh and application I do not feel like I'm wearing a full face of makeup. La Bella Donna Makeup Application

In this blog our spa coordinator will be showing you how to do a day time smokey eye, not to heavy with light browns and a very light eyelash. This look is great for work and goes perfectly with green or blue eyes. 

First I started off with Eminence Organics Bamboo Firming Fluid and Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Moisturizing Cream and Jurlique Rose Silk Finishing Powder to help moisturize and prep my face. I like to use the Rose Silk Finishing Powder before I apply makeup and after to set the look. I like to apply this product before because I like the way my foundation looks over it and I also feel as though it works great as a primer. 

Next I applied the Anti Aging Mineral Mystique in #2 around my eye area for concealer, followed by the Pure Perfection Liquid Foundation in Nicoletta. For powder and to set the foundation I used the Loose Minerals in Crema. After I finish applying the base and powder I move on to the brows, for my brows I used the La Bella Donna complete brow kit in Brunette. Finishing off my brows I apply the eyeshadow. I started with the Compressed Mineral Eyeshadow in Cameo all over the eye area, next I applied Bronze on the lid, and finally Chocolate on the crease. 

Finally to finish off and complete this look I applied La Bella Donna Mascara in Black and Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist and a light dusting of the Jurlique Rose Silk Finishing Powder.

La Bella Donna Vision of Mineral Lights Bronze 

Quads of compressed mineral bronzing colours to give your skin an après sun-kissed glow. Naturale-created for those with a more fair complexion and may also be used as eyeshadows. HOW TO APPLY:

La Bella Donna Mineral Makeup - Covering Blemishes, or Tattoos

Don't cover a blemish conceal them, for example a couple of months ago I covered up one of my tattoos with our La Bella Donna Anti-aging Mineral Mystique - Hydrating Concealer (#2) and our Loose Mineral Foundation (Crema.)

The first thing I did was went over the tattoo with the concealer completely with a concealer brush which caused the light coverage, and then I went back over it with the Loose Mineral Foundation with a foundation brush which caused the complete disappearance of my tattoo. After this I lightly dusted the area with the Loose Foundation using the Mineral Powder Brush so that it wouldn't transfer onto my clothes or rub off onto anything else. Fishing off I spritzed it with the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist.

Well, Today I did it again. It was so toasty outside so I just went ahead and covered one of my tattoos to see if it would also last in the heat! Let me tell you ladies it did. You literally cannot even tell there is any ink there.

Usually there is a tattoo on my forearm, but not anymore!

This technique is wonderful if you want to cover up your tattoos for special events, your wedding, or a job.

Linda's How to Contouring

Linda's How to Contouring

I always enjoy doing a light contour on my face, this type of contouring is generally used to help make the face appear thinner. My face is already naturally thin so I just do a light version of this. 

First I applied my foundation which is La Bella Donna Pure Perfection Liquid Foundation in Nicoletta, followed by my brow kit which is La Bella Donna Complete Brow Kit in Brunette. Then I begin the contour which I used La Bella Donna Anti Aging Mineral Mystique in #2 and #6. I use a foundation brush to blend the contour after letting it sit or "bake" for 3 to 5 minutes. After I complete the blending I finish everything off with a light dusting of our Loose Mineral Foundation in Crema. Enjoy !

Linda's Valentine's Day Makeup Application 

This Valentine's Day I did a very light pretty pink eye, below I will explain the La Bella Donna Products I used. Enjoy! 

Face: I started with the La Bella Donna Anti-Aging Mineral Mystique #2 around the eye area using a concealer brush, followed by the Pure Perfection Liquid Mineral Foundation in Nicoletta all over the entire face using a foundation brush, and finally I lightly dusted the face using the Loose Mineral Foundation in Nicoletta and Crema using a mineral powder brush .

Brows: Complete brow kit in Brunette I like to mix both shades I feel as though it creates the best shade for my brows due to the fact that my hair is black. You can use either shade or both together, I also do not use the wax but some people prefer otherwise 

Lashes: La Bella Donna Mineral Mascara in Black 

Eyeshadow: I used the Compressed Mineral Eyeshadow in Cameo on the bottom for my base, followed by the Compressed in Petal pink on my entire lid area using the eyeshadow brush, and to finish in my crease I used the Compressed in Chocolate and blended using the blending brush. 

Lips: Mineral light lip color in Nude

Just a basic look I have been stepping away from wearing eye shadow all the time and I love this look for day time and even night time just adding a little bit of black eye liner makes this a perfect night time look. 

For this look I used all La Bella Donna Products.

Rainy day makeup look today at Le Reve. I love this makeup look mostly because my favorite color is purple and it makes my eyes pop like crazy, I used all La Bella Donna Makeup for this look. Below is a list of what I have on. Hope you enjoy!

Foundation: Ultimate Pure Perfection Liquid Mineral Foundation in Umbria, and Pure Mineral Foundation in Crema. (One liquid, One powder)

I did a highlight just below my brows and a tiny bit on my cheeks: Highlighting Cream Colour Moonlight

Eyes: Eyeshadow compact colour in Blackberry, I also used our mascara in black, and our eyeliner in Violet Charoite (top lid) and in Basic Black (bottom water line.)

Lips: Mineral Lip Sheer in Crystal
