Citrus Exfoliating Wash

Eminence Citrus Exfoliating Wash

This is a gel wash for normal-to-oily skin, the Citrus Exfoliating Wash gently exfoliates and cleanses the skin. It's made with fresh lime juice to remove impurities and grapefruit seed and silica to leave your face luminously clear.

I've been using this exfoliating wash for about a while now and my skin is loving it! I apply a tiny dollop into my hand and rub it gently into my skin in circular motions. This little bit goes along a way. I use it 2-3 times a week and with each use my skin looks better and better. 

With oily skin it's important maintain proper exfoliation techniques. If you over exfoliate, depriving the skin of all it's natural oils, it will  only cause the production of even more oil to try fix the problem. if you already have oily skin then that would be a disaster. Of course, if you don't exfoliate enough then the oils and dirt collect in you skin causing a mess of clogged pores and acne, AH! 

This face wash is a holy grail. It does it's job at cleaning the skin while not being agressively abrasive. It's refreshing rather than harsh which is difficult to find with exfoliators. So it's safe to say that this Eminence product like all the others we carry is a win and definitely gets my recommendation!

Lets talk about the magic of serums! Here at Le Reve we have a handful of serums that vary in purpose, but for today I'd like to brag about two of my favorites; the Eminence Blackberry Pore Refining Serum and the Eminence Herbal Spot Serum. 






If you experience blemishes like I do, the Herbal Spot Serum is a god-sent! This natural astringent infused serum tones the skin while unclogging and tightening pores, leaving dry areas soothed and your skin looking clear and revitalized! Hate when those pesky pimples arise out of no where? Me too! I tend to break out when I have a big event coming up and I'm stressed or if it's that time of the month. I like to use Jurlique's Blemish Cream when I get one of these pimples because in addition to it helping cure the breakout, it is a natural skin-toned cream that helps hide the blemish as well. Curious about our facials?

Good morning followers! I get a lot of calls from clients asking me to explain the differences between our facials, and so I figured the best way to get the word out there would be to write a blog on it. We have five of them: The Mini Refresher, the Age Defying, the Deep Clarifying, the Le Reve, and the Mind and Body. They range from 30-90 minutes and cost between $65 and $150.

Our shortest facial, the Mini Refresher, is a 30 minute service and costs $65. It consists of two cleansers, a skin analysis, an exfoliant, two specialized masques, and a moisturizer.
Next, the Deep Clarifying, is a 1 hour service and costs $105. In addition to what the Mini Refresher offers, it includes skin extractions and a relaxing head, neck, and shoulder massage. 
Each of the following three use our Deep Clarifying as a base but have their own unique additions that differentiate them from the others. For the Le Reve, it is an additional hand and foot coconut treatment. This service is 75 minutes long and costs $125. 
The Age Defying facial has an eye, lip, and décolleté treatment and employs the use of a galvanic device. For those who are unfamiliar with this, it is a tool used to detoxify and refortify your skin cells through negative and positive ions. Essentially, it is meant to shrink your pores. This service lasts for 90 minutes and costs $135.
Our last facial is the Mind and Body facial, and includes stone and charka therapy. It is a 90 minute service which costs $150, and there is a more detailed blog on just this facial that can be found by following this link. 

At the end of each of our facials, your esthetician will recommend products for at-home use to keep your particular skin happy and healthy. We use two lines of products, Eminence and Jurlique, during our facials and these are the lines that they will recommend products from. Keep your Skin Calm with the Healing Properties of Arnica and Calendula

Hello Skin Care Lovers!

     I struggle with a naturally red complexion, and it is hard to keep my skin tone even without applying heavy amounts of make-up.  However, I have found two natural ingredients that are able to reduce the redness and keep my skin even and calm.

A Little Advice on Hormonal Breakouts!

Hello Spa Lovers & Skin Care Enthusiasts! 

In the past I always struggled with severe hormonal breakouts that have made me feel irritated and uncomfortable with my skin.  When I started working at Le Reve, I learned so much vital information about how to take care of my skin and body... and I would love to share some of the things I have learned about basic skin care, which have really helped me to improve my breakouts.  Here is some helpful information that I have learned along the way in my journey as a Spa Coordinator:

1.  The IMPORTANCE of ORGANIC skin care products!  Le Reve carries two organic skin care lines; Eminence and Jurlique.  All of the products in these two lines are completely natural and good for your skin!  You can feel the difference within your entire body when you put something organic on your skin...you will feel so much healthier and balanced!  Your skin does not need any crazy chemicals, because there is always a natural substitute that can be found in nature!

2.  DON'T GIVE UP if one product does not work on your skin!  Remember to test several different types of products, because every product will react differently on your skin.  Skin types are very unique, and there is no magic solution that will fix every problem on every skin type.  So do not give up if a product does not work at first...simply KEEP TRYING!

3.  The LOCATION of the BREAKOUT will tell you everything!  Hormonal Breakouts are often confused with breakouts derived from stress or diet.  Hormonal breakouts occur on the chin, jaw line, and upper lip.  If you are breaking out on your upper cheeks, that is a result of your diet & breakouts on your forehead are a result of stress.  It is very important to truly understand the root of the breakout, in order to properly treat the acne. 

4.  The ORDER of APPLICATION of your skin care is very important!  Although this may seem like very basic knowledge, I had no idea until I started working here that that the order of application of skin care makes a difference in how effective the products will be.  Here is the order:  Cleanser--> Toner-->Serum-->Moisturizer-->Sunscreen!

I hope that bit of advice helps you to learn and understand our products a little bit more! And if you are experiencing hormonal breakouts specifically, I would highly recommend trying Eminence's Eight Greens Youth Serum.  This serum has been a game changer for my face because it tones and balances the skin while normalizing oil production.  It has made all the difference!!!
