Mangosteen daily Resurfacing Cleanser

This milky gel lightly lathers to slough off dead skin without manual exfoliation or over-stripping.      Summer is just around the corner, and here at Le Reve Spa we want you looking your finest on Santa Barbara's beaches. Love the look of a fresh tan, but hate sitting out in the Sun for hours to achieve it? Here at Le Reve Spa we offer a sunless spray tan, which consists of a natural formula that leaves you with a healthy glow without all the risks that come with sun tanning.

    Sunless spray tanning consists of a carbohydrate called dihydroxyacetone, also known as DHA, which interacts with your skin's amino acids in order to promote a darker pigmentation. This carbohydrate is usually found in glycerin or other plant material, and is great for promoting that natural and bronzed look. The tan sits on the skin's surface and darkens over the next 24 hours and settles, where it then becomes water-proof and won't wash away. Due to your skin's natural exfoliation process, sunless tanning does last about 1-2 weeks or until your epidermis completely turns over.

    Le Reve is Santa Barbara's only Green Certified spa, where one of our top priorities is reducing our carbon-footprint. We do our very best to conserve energy and water resources, and using materials that can recycled. Overall, our goal is to promote waste reduction, but also to promote better and healthier living in our guests. We choose to use all organic and natural skincare  from companies like Jurlique and Eminence, who all practice in an Earth-conscience fashion. 

  

    First up, Le Reve Spa would like to shine a special light on the skincare brand, Eminence Organic Skin Care. This is one of two skincare brands that we utilize to the fullest at Le Reve Spa. Eminence prides themselves in curating wonderful and effective skincare products that are free of parabens propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates, harmful colorants and fragrances, mineral oils, petroleum, and other harsh cosmetic chemicals. They also follow green practices in their farming, ingredients, products, and packaging. First and foremost, Eminence's farming practices focus on reducing their CO2 emission by manually planting and harvesting their ingredients, which are grown using solar and wind power, along with a natural compost.

    Along with their farming practices, Eminence takes great care in their products. All products are handmade, so they forgo the overheating and hydrogenating (where hydrogen molecules are used to saturate organic compounds), which can lead to a decrease in potency and nutritional essence. Plants are harvested in the height of their vitamin potency, so your skin care efficiently aids in your skin's regenerative healing. All packaging for these products are recyclable and printed using environmentally-friendly inks, along with dissolvable packing peanuts.  

    

    Additionally to Eminence Organic Skin Care, Le Reve Spa use the skincare brand, Jurlique. Jurlique has many of the same practices that are mentioned above. They are an Australian-based company whose goal is to make the Earth a better place for all of its inhabitants. They have a multitude of all natural and organic ingredients that are specially curated.

   One thing that both of these brands have in common is that they make use of Biodynamic farming, which erases the notion of farms as factories, and instead views it as a whole living organism that is made-up of many interdependent elements. In which they choose to focus on following the cycles of nature and self-sustainment for the most part. Farmers tend to their land in a holistic capacity, meaning they choose natural remedies for their farms and animals against pests and diseases.

Here at Le Reve Organic Spa & Boutique, we pride ourselves on having a multitude of different spa facials that are specially designed to fit everyone's individual needs. One of our facials, the Age Defying, is perfectly curated for those with aging skin. What that means is that at the end of your facial, you are going to see a decrease in fine lines and discoloration, which are common in older skin types.

To start off, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed with an oil cleanser followed by a second cleanser, in order to remove all of the impurities from your skin. This double-cleansing method allows your skin to be fresh and ready to be analyzed by your esthetician.

You will then be treated by a wonderful enzyme peel by Eminence Organics. This treatment will focus on accelerating the exfoliation process, leading to a reduce in visible pigment. It also has a plumping effect, which will leave the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines visibly reduced. 

Following the treatment, a series of masks that promotes youthful and radiant skin will be applied to your skin. At Le Reve Organic Spa and Boutique, we offer a treatment called the Total Body Bliss, which is a mixture of deep exfoliation and herbal antioxidants that leaves your body feeling rejuvenated and glowy-skinned.

To start off, the treatment begins with a series of dry brushing. Dry brushing is where we take a brush that has firm and natural bristles and begin to brush your body, starting at your feet and continuing upwards. There are many benefits to dry brushing, and all together they leave both your skin and body in much better health. One of the many great benefits is the improvements of one's circulation, meaning your blood is moving more efficiently throughout your body. Take a night to detox and moisturize your skin with the Monoi Night Body Cream. This moisturizer is best used when applied right before sleeping and letting your skin take in the moisture throughout the night.

    Begin your morning with a cup of chamomile rose tea from the The republic of tea brand. There's great benefits to drinking tea for instance the chamomile aids with a better nights sleep and the rose hip helps with antioxidants.  
    

        Tip: Add a teaspoon of organic honey to enhance the flavor.
  

Step 1:  Eminence Citrus Exfoliating Wash
   Let's begin your daily routine by washing your face. You want to wet the face first then use a pea size amount of Eminence Citrus Exfoliating Wash add a little bit of water, mix it together. Then you want to gently massage the face wash on using a circular motion making

sure that you get the entire face is lathered including the neck area to have a fully clean surface to work on. This face wash gives you the result feeling refreshed and clear skin. 
 
  Tip:  If you want to be a little bit more extra I would add in the  Stone Crop hydrating Mist. This is a great way to add more hydration onto your skin care routine. Not only does the Stone Crop mist aid with dehydrated skin but it assist in alleviating pigmentation as well as irritations. 
    
 

Step 2: Stonecrop  Whip Moisturizer   

Once the face has been washed you want to hydrate the skin. Apply the Stone Crop Whip Moisturizer by gently tapping it from the forehead all the way to the neck. Make sure to use upward motions when applying on the neck to prevent any sagging.  Clear, hydrated and rejuvenated skin are some of the benefits of  using the stone crop Whip Moisturizer.  Not only is the stone crop the main ingredient but as well as lavender which calms and repairs the

skin. Along with being a main ingredient in the moisturizer Bearberry extract that aids in combating hyperpigmentation. 

Fun fact: Did you know that the stonecrop succulent has been used since ancient times for medicinal purposes such as treating wounds and burns. 

Step 4: Lilikoi Daily Defense Moisturizer SPF 40

What's the fountain of youth? The answer is sunscreen, there are many of us who forget the most crucial step to a daily skin care routine, which is to apply sunscreen.

The lilikoi sunscreen not only aids in preventing any signs of aging but protects you from the blue light and anti-pollution shield. It's a sunscreen that applies on smoothly, is lightweight and leaves no tint behind. After using this product, you will never forget to apply the most essential ingredient to your daily care. 

  

Tip: This sunscreen works best if you are constantly applying it on throughout the day in every 2 hour increments. If you have make up on then I would recommend The Bella Donna Translucent LBD-Sun Protection. The translucent sun protection powder is a great way to reapply sunscreen without messing up your look. 

Step 5:  Eminence Rosehip Lemongrass Lip Balm 
        This is one of my favorite lip balms because it does the job of keeping my lips soft and protected. I love products that are two in one, you don't need to buy a lip balm and then a sunscreen, it's all in one. Its leaves me with soft and hydrated lips which is all I can ask about my lip products.
