This milky gel lightly lathers to slough off dead skin without manual exfoliation or over-stripping. The Lactic Acid Complex and mangosteen in this cleanser work together to restore a smooth, radiant complexion.     Le Reve is Santa Barbara's only Green Certified spa, where one of our top priorities is reducing our carbon-footprint. We do our very best to conserve energy and water resources, and using materials that can recycled. Overall, our goal is to promote waste reduction, but also to promote better and healthier living in our guests. We choose to use all organic and natural skincare  from companies like Jurlique and Eminence, who all practice in an Earth-conscience fashion. 

  

    First up, Le Reve Spa would like to shine a special light on the skincare brand, Eminence Organic Skin Care. This is one of two skincare brands that we utilize to the fullest at Le Reve Spa. Eminence prides themselves in curating wonderful and effective skincare products that are free of parabens propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates, harmful colorants and fragrances, mineral oils, petroleum, and other harsh cosmetic chemicals. They also follow green practices in their farming, ingredients, products, and packaging. First and foremost, Eminence's farming practices focus on reducing their CO2 emission by manually planting and harvesting their ingredients, which are grown using solar and wind power, along with a natural compost.

    Along with their farming practices, Eminence takes great care in their products. All products are handmade, so they forgo the overheating and hydrogenating (where hydrogen molecules are used to saturate organic compounds), which can lead to a decrease in potency and nutritional essence. Plants are harvested in the height of their vitamin potency, so your skin care efficiently aids in your skin's regenerative healing. All packaging for these products are recyclable and printed using environmentally-friendly inks, along with dissolvable packing peanuts.  

    

    Additionally to Eminence Organic Skin Care, Le Reve Spa use the skincare brand, Jurlique. Jurlique has many of the same practices that are mentioned above. They are an Australian-based company whose goal is to make the Earth a better place for all of its inhabitants. Here at Le Reve Organic Spa & Boutique, we pride ourselves on having a multitude of different spa facials that are specially designed to fit everyone's individual needs. One of our facials, the Age Defying, is perfectly curated for those with aging skin. What that means is that at the end of your facial, you are going to see a decrease in fine lines and discoloration, which are common in older skin types.

To start off, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed with an oil cleanser followed by a second cleanser, in order to remove all of the impurities from your skin. This double-cleansing method allows your skin to be fresh and ready to be analyzed by your esthetician.

You will then be treated by a wonderful enzyme peel by Eminence Organics. This treatment will focus on accelerating the exfoliation process, leading to a reduce in visible pigment. It also has a plumping effect, which will leave the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines visibly reduced. 

Following the treatment, a series of masks that promotes youthful and radiant skin will be applied to your skin. During this time, a galvanic device will be placed onto your skin and smoothed over the face mask. This galvanic device emits low-level currents that have an abundance of benefits for your skin.

Have you been plagued by an onslaught of acne occurring on your face, and while having healed it has left behind an abundance of dark-spots that just won't fade? And it seems that everything you do just doesn't help or make any sort of difference? Trust me I fight with that everyday, and hear me when I say that I am tired of buying concealer to cover them up. I have been looking for a product that targets hyper-pigmentation, doesn't bleach my skin, and all while being natural and organic. Now, I can say that I have found just the product in Eminence Organic Skin Care Bright Skin Licorice Root Booster Serum.

    

With this product, you get the package deal of anti-aging, hydration, brightening, and most importantly,  the halt of dark spots occurring. The Bright Skin Licorice Root Booster Serum contains a great selection of natural and organic certified products that promote and produce a plethora of wonderful properties. First and foremost, what I believe to be the most important is the licorice root. This ingredient brightens the complexion, but it also is a natural tyrosinase inhibitor, aka it stops the overproduction of melanin. 

It becomes really easy to become turned off to the idea of a product when it is advertised as brightening or lightening, because it sounds like your skin is going to come out bleached and 3 shades lighter, but with this product you do not need worry. Tyrosinase inhibitors in no way bleach your skin, instead they aid in stopping tyrosine, the enzyme that causes oxidation that leads to melanin, from over-producing. 

Hyper-pigmentation can be from a number of thing, such as any skin trauma occurring due to acne, psoriasis, eczema, or even hormonal imbalances. This trauma kicks off the overabundance of melanin being sent to the surface, and tyrosinase inhibitors found in the licorice root are meant to stop this in its tracks.

Along with licorice root, the Bright Skin Licorice Root Serum has plenty of other vital ingredients perfectly curated for your skin. It contains stonecrop, a succulent that promotes moisture, brightening, and reducing pigmentation due to being rich in regeneration properties. It also includes Swiss Alpine plant extract and lactic acid which both work in tandem to brighten your skin further after your skin is exfoliated and rid of its dead skin cells, and leaving it rejuvenated.

I understand that when it comes to applying skincare, the right and wrong way can always be a bit blurry. My recommendation for this product is to apply it before you apply your moisturizer, but before any other serums that are of a lower viscosity. For example, if you use Eminence's Citrus & Kale Potent C+E Serum, then I would advise you to apply the Bright Skin Licorice Root Serum after the C+E Serum due to it having a thicker consistency. Another alternative is applying your usual serums, and then adding a few drops of the Licorice Root to your moisturizer before applying. This serum can also be used to spot treat any particular problem areas.
