A Tribute to Sunshine
Delos Santos
On June 19, 2014, we at Le Rêve lost a dear friend and coworker who had filled our
lives and made each day better.
Sunshine was
many things. Professionally, she was a Licensed Esthetician, Certified Massage
Therapist, and an Arikai Pilates instructor. She gained
extensive education in her fields while living in Maui, Hawaii. Perhaps it was there where she connected
personally to a preference for a natural approach to health and
well-being. She was dedicated to her
work and taking care of others. That was what inspired her to work at Le Rêve – for which we were all grateful.
In her own words, “I love working in health and fitness. I strive to always learn and cultivate tools
to help my clients and family achieve balance and health in their lives.
I realize that in order to give to those we
care for we must make our own wellness a priority. In reaching this through
health and fitness I’ve become passionate about sharing my knowledge and
helping others. The process is fun, inspiring, and invigorating. To me this is
not work but a way of life.”
On her website, http://sunshineon.com, she wrote: “Many people work
hard hours and they need to balance this with a nice day”...She seemed proud to work here, however we were
more proud to have her here, and to have her inspire us with her personal
sunshine.
Sunshine was many things beyond her professional life. She
was a loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and most certainly a great friend. If you were lucky enough to be her client, student, or if
you were privileged – as we were – to call her a friend, let her passion for
life live on within you. When you feel
challenged or stressed remember to care for yourself. Make yourself a priority.
To Sunshine - You have filled our hearts, you will be
forever missed!
