My Must Have Body Moisturizer!

Good Afternoon! This is Ashley, Esthetician at Le Reve Spa in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara. I hope you are all having a happy busy Monday! Today's blog is about a new product from my favorite skin care line in the entire world-Eminence! It's the Monoi Age Corrective Night Body Cream that contains Argan Stem Cells and Nutmeg Seed Oil that is proven to firm and hydrate the skin. I've started using this luxurious cream nightly after my shower for about a week now. I gently massage it into the skin right out of the shower to increase absorption. I also find the little bit of water left on my skin acts as an emulsifier so a little product goes a long way. (Remember, Eminence adds no water to their products making them highly concentrated and active on the skin). The scent of the Tahitian Oil is intoxicating and the Hyaluronic Acid it contains ,makes my skin feels so soft and supple right away. Who doesn't love that "smooth as a baby's skin" feel? 

The reason I'm blogging about this product is to mention other benefits I've noticed from using this nightly cream. I have suffered from Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis) for about 7 years now. If your unfamiliar with this skin condition, eczema is a form of dermatitis or inflammation of the epidermis. There is no cure nor a real reason of what causes Eczema. There are however, ways to avoid worsening and reducing some of it's symptoms that can cause discomfort to some. Common symptoms are excessive dryness. itchiness and skin rashes scaling from mild to severe. 

What I have luckily found is that the inflammation in my skin has reduced quite a bit and my skin is not itchy at all. (SO happy about that!) Makes sense with key ingredients like Evening Primrose Oil and Shea Butter which are incredibly restoring and anti-inflammatory. Now this may not be a cure but it is a fantastic body moisturizer and seems to help alleviate some of my Eczema symptoms. I consider that a bonus. It just shows how hydrating and restoring it is.
