Product of the Week

Happy Friday Everyone!

I hear the rain is coming back to Santa Barbara and it will be beautiful to refresh the earth, nature, and ourselves with the clear drops that fall from the dark clouds.  This hydration is delivered deep into the ground and fills plants needs.  We are very similar to plants in the sense that we need constant water to survive but also hydration to our outer selves, our skin.  Our skin is our barrier from environmental aggressors, shields the sun's rays, produces vitamin D to maintain healthy strong bones, regulates our body temperature, and keeps anything that is not meant to be on the insides of our bodies.  Our skin is incredibly important to our everyday lifelong lives.

The earlier we start on a skin care regime the better our skin will look as we age.  This of course has to work together with a well balanced diet, consumption of plenty of water, limiting sun exposure and protecting our skin when we are in the warm rays of the sun.  For our skin care regime it is important to use proper products fitted to your skin's needs.

Did you know that certain oils such as jojoba, coconut, and avocado are excellent for your skin? They provide nutrition such as vitamin E and provide instant hydration as well.  Herbal and fruit properties are pure and natural substances to place on your skin.  Sticking to the same products that suit your skin are the most beneficial and practical ways of taking care of your skin.

I highly suggest to use coconut oil as a body moisturizer-it is a miraculous healing oil as well with it's anti-bacterial properties.  Find a wonderful cleanser by Eminence or Jurlique with the help of our trained staff members.  Snatch a moisturizer that has an SPF in it like our
Tropical Vanilla Moisturizer by Eminence or purchase a moisturizer fitted to your skin type and wear mineral make up by La Bella Donna that has its sun protectant in it.  You can also try to include a toner to hydrate and soothe skin.  Jurlique makes a wonderful Chamomile mist.
Maybe you are thinking about an eye cream to aid in those smile lines.  The list goes on and on and as I have said it is all what you make of it and is very dependent on what you are wanting to do with your skin.  Be at peace with what you have and cherish it until the day your time is up on earth.

Come into Le Reve Organic Day Spa to check out your options for a skin care regime.  We would be more than happy to help you achieve the skin you would like today and 30 years from today.
